Good Afternoon! I'm delighted to show you our next fabric group that is right now being shown to shop owners - Sunrise Side.
In Michigan you are never far away from a Great Lake. It is one of the wonderful things about living here. The eastern coast of the state is considered the Sunrise Side as you can see the sunrise every morning over Lake Huron and Lake Erie. My collection is reminiscent of blue waters and sky and the warm colors of sunrise.
It is lots and lots of Minick and Simpson blues with some spicy orange. Sunrise Side will be available in October in your local shop. I'll be posting the quilts I made with this in a couple of days.

I received a surprising email a few weeks ago. A Hall of Fame Museum wanted to show some of my quilts!!
No, not the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, but the Quilter's Hall of Fame in Marion Indiana. (although if Cooperstown ever needs a quilt about baseball players in my family - I have JUST the quilt and rug for them to use).
The Moda Designer quilt exhibit was set up this week. It runs from February 21 through May 6th of this year. I am honored. The following quilts - along with quilts with my fellow designers Betsy Chutchian, Corey Yoder, Sherri McConnell, and Chelsi Stratton will be in the exhibit. I hope to get down there sometime in April or May. Maybe I'll see you there!
