Annual Inventory Sale

Holiday
I baked Christmas cookies this year. It's been quite a few years since I've done that. Decorating will be minimal. Very minimal. It's time I started to think about the many, many bins of decorations that are being stored and not used.
Hoping you and everyone you love is happy and safe this Holiday season.
AND.... I wanted to remind you that the annual Minick and Simpson Inventory sale will be starting on December 24th and runs to January 1st. All you need to do is add the coupon code COUNTING when you check out and EVERYTHING will be 35% off.

Bounty
I don't know about you, but we have been getting most of our groceries lately from the farmer's market. Blueberries, cherries, tomatoes, beans, lettuces of all varieties and much much more. It's a great time of year. Bounty indeed!
Bounty is also on my mind because of a quilt top I just finished.
Bounty is an appliqued top with a pieced border. I used many Minick and Simpson fabrics along with a few chosen Ruby Star Society wovens. Bounty finishes at 75" x 75". I am taking Pre-Orders right now at minickandsimpson.com - HERE
Bounty will ship at the end of 2022/beginning of 2023. The kit will have the same fabrics as pictured here. There will be international orders - but read the disclaimer on the item listing for shipping information.

Blockheads4 - Week 3 - You're At The Right Place!
Yes, all you blog-hopping blockheads - this is THE place to be this week!!
This is my block - Kouign Amann.
Why is it named Kouign Amann? Well, it looks kind of "crown" like and it reminded me of Polly's and my favorite treat when we are in New York City - the Kouign Amann pastries from Dominique Ansel Bakery.
Whenever we are in the city we try to stop by the bakery for Kouign Ammans and coffee before we start our day. Before we get to the link for the directions to Kouign Amann........ I have some things to show you. Isabella fabric is being shown to shop owners right NOW and here are the quilts - which you can pre-order right now.

Blockheads 4 - Week 2
Jenelle Kent has designed this block for us - called Cooee. You'll have to ask Jenelle what that means - and go to her blog to get the directions HERE.
My block is from a large pile of scraps I've accumulated this year and it is all Newport fabrics.
While all you folks are cutting and stitching your block - know that I am in Florida visiting Polly. I've rarely left the house in 2 years. And. I. Mean. Rarely. I believe I'll need a sunblock #2000 if I'm out in the Florida sun for more than 15 minutes.
Also, while you're stitching and blockheading away.... here are some pictures of the upcoming Isabella collection that will be in shops in September. The new quilt patterns should be here next month.
I made Summer Roses with the blue plaid sashing and the backing is particularly lovely. Thank you to Mary Andra Holmes with help on the applique and to Maggi Honeyman for the quilting.

It's Back
Blockheads 4 starts today!! That's right, every wednesday for 28 weeks you will be given a new block pattern to make a wonderful quilt.
This is the first block - by Lynne Hagmeier of Kansas Trouble. You can find the pattern HERE on her blog.
My quilt will be made using scraps. These scraps are from Harbor Springs, Mackinac Island, Belle Isle, Newport, and the brand new to me (and will be to you in September) - Isabella. There will be other red, white and blue scraps thrown in too. Once you go scrappy it's hard to limit yourself.
All Blockheads 4 news will be on our individual blogs and IG posts and of course - the Moda Blockheads Facebook group HERE.
Pick your fabrics, grab scraps, start starching and cutting and away we go!
In other Minick and Simpson news, with the arrival of Newport fabric here in the studio I have stocked up on kits on the minickandsimpson.com website.
Also - here is a new sneak peak at Isabella, which will be in shops in September.
