Blockheads 3 - Week 29

This week's block is courtesy of Corey Yoder. You can find the directions HERE.
This is what my pile of blocks is looking like so far.  It's hard to get them all in 1 photo, but you get a rough idea.

Remember all of you..... wear a mask, practice social distancing, or better yet - just stay home and make quilts.

Blockheads 3 - Week 27

This week's block - The Proposal - is courtesy of Jen Kingwell.  When we design these blocks way ahead of time, we don't know exactly when they will debut.  In a bit of serendipity - The Proposal will post on Jen and Richard's wedding anniversary.  Happy anniversary you two!

Weddings are lovely.  I bet we haven't been to too many lately.  In honor of The Proposal block - here is a little time warp back to Polly's wedding many moons ago. I'm on the right. Flower girl extraordinaire.

I believe the less razzle-dazzle girls are second cousins, or cousins once removed..... well, I think they are related. That's pretty much my memory of the day. This might be my favorite picture of myself - as it is the last one taken of me that is somewhat flattering. There has been a long drought of unphotogenic-ness since.

Blockheads 3 - Week 26

This week's block is brought to you by Janet Clare and you can find the directions HERE.

What else is new?  Not much to show for it. I'm still self-isolating and keeping busy in the studio.  I think there will be lots of new things to show soon.

The peaches from The Peach Truck were superb and we had a weekend of grilled chicken and peaches and the peach cobbler from Ina Garten's Cooking For Jeffrey.

Blockheads 3 - Week 25

This week's blockhead block is brought to you by Robin Pickens.

Again, because I'm doing small blocks, I edited it just a bit.  Robin's look still comes through!

I hope your holiday plans keep you isolated. We are not out of the woods yet here in Michigan, but our status has improved.  All because of great sacrifices.  We need to keep our focus and hopefully, we will all be together again soon.  Bill and I, and the dogs will be barbecuing and enjoying a shipment of peaches from Georgia. Peach BBQ chicken is on the menu!

If you want to do some holiday decorating........ I have just the thing!  An Independence Day Table Runner

You can find the pattern HERE.
