This new Moda/Martingale collaboration is now available! I was lucky enough to be included.
This is my Stars and Stars quilt. I used foundation paper piecing. It's not my usual go-to construction, but in small doses (just like this quilt) it really packs a punch. Perfect, sharp pointed stars.
Look what else will be showing up in your local quilt shops in the next few days.... Cotton Works! This is our 100% cotton fabric that looks and feels like wool. It's perfect to use in traditional wool stitchery - by itself - or in combo with your wool scraps.
This is one of our patterns using it - the Flower Day Table Topper.
Our friend Carrie made this super pillow with Cotton Works. (This may or may not have been claimed by a member of the Simpson family who uses it in his favorite leather chair) (thanks to Moda for letting me steal these photos from the Cutting Table blog)
In other news....... I have to get rid of 2 boxes of shoes. Beautiful, barely worn shoes. Stylish sandals and still pristine dress shoes. Poor me. It seems I now need orthotics. The new orthotics are working grand, but they take up quite a bit of space in my shoes. I now need to buy new shoes a half - to a full size bigger than usual. So in other news.... Lucky me! Shoe shopping!! (can we all say a special thank you to the annual Nordstrom shoe sale)
In better news.... How about a Cotton Works giveaway to celebrate these new arrivals!
Comment on this post about Cotton Works, mini quilts, shoe shopping, or anything at all and you could win this.
Comment before midnight Friday October 7th to be eligible.

Love this fabric collection, and especially love your star mini!

I love the minis!!!! The cottonworks.....wow! Most of the local shops have closed.....so I'm hoping to win!!!!!
Fingers crossed!
Shoe shopping or fabric shopping??? I love them both dearly and now my 10 year old daughter has developed the same loves. My poor husband.
Beautiful colors and prints in this new fabric line! I like the plaids very much and could see them used as a background for a winter table runner. Thank you for a chance in the giveaway.
Ohh I would love to win this! I love the colors. Bummer about the shoes. Glad your orthotics are working. Life is full of so many stinken challenges. Thank goodness for Nordstrom shoes.

The new Moda book looks like fun! But the wool is to die for!!! Thanks for the chance to win.
Yay to this gorgeous Cotton Works bundle! Oh my gosh, my husband would love something made with this. Thanks for the chance to win!
And boo to orthotics...I had to wear them for a while because of plantar fasciitis. No fun (but better than foot pain, I suppose!). Sounds like you've found a silver lining in shoe shopping.
Love the looks of the Cottonworks. Very cozy. Have my Mini quilt book ordered. Go Blue!
Beautiful fabrics! I want to pet them! It would be a thrill to win that bundle.
Love, love this fabric. I do use wool alot and this would be so nice to add. The colors are great.
Oh the colours of those fabrics! So beautiful!
These fabrics are beautiful! I love the colors, the plaids! I'm so glad there's now a cotton fabric that looks like wool. These would make a great cozy winter quilt to snuggle under while planning my next project or just taking a nap with the cat.
Love those colors!
Oh the new cotton line is wonderful I can see all the potential. So glad you don't mind shoe shopping, I would much rather be shopping for quit fabric!
These are amazing! Oh the things I could make......
I read about the Cotton Works on the Moda blog...they sound wonderful and loved the tips they posted about working with them. Love the look of them too. Intrigued to try out in quilts...now to determine a pattern to use.

I am 100% completely in love with this fabric bundle💗💗💗💗💗. Also, I wear ortho supports for my foot😢.... But I sometimes I cheat and wear sandles; life is too short!!
Would love to use this as backing!!
This fabric collection is just a must have. I love primitive quilts and appliqués. So this would be perfect.
I am in love with the new miniature quilt book. Can't wait for it to show up at my LQS.
I can't wait to see cotton works in person. I love wool applique so I hope to mix this new fabric in those projects. It is also beautiful on it's own. Thanks for the chance to win that fabulous bundle.

Love Polly & Laurie...love shoes...love fabric...
Thanks for the chance to win! Love the mini quilt
I love this fabric! I also like shoe shopping, but not quite as much as I love fabric shopping.
How beautiful ! What a wonderful Birthday present to me ! October 10. And what beautiful colors and what a warm comfy quilt they would make. I hope the orthotics are working well. Good luck on your shoe shopping spree....although I think I would much rather be shopping for fabric ^;^
My all time favorite! So gorgeous!
Oh I love those fabrics! They would make perfect backgrounds for wool applique. Your mini quilt is adorable. So sorry about the shoes, but shopping for shoes sounds fun. ;-) Have a happy day!
Lovely fabrics! And absolutely perfect for fall.
I love your Stars and Stars mini quilt - I'd like to know more about this but I guess I'll have to buy the book LOL ! I'd love to be entered to win your cotton wool set. THanks for the giveaway opp. Mel
OMG, these Cotton Works are too much... I wanna snuggle up on my couch or in bed and cover myself with these warm fabrics! (or perhaps it's better to first make a quilt out of it and then snuggle up :-)
First let me say I am obsessed with the Cotton Works fabric...it is luscious!! Secondly, I have had orthotics for several years now. In spite of them being tricky for finding the perfect shoes, they give me incredible relief from foot pain. So well worth it, because if your feet don't hurt you can sew longer, fabric shop longer, quilt longer....well you get where I am going here! My fingers are crossed, because I am truly yearning to own that fabulous Cotton Works Bundle!
Whoa! Love that fabric! And the mini. Foundation paper piecing is my fav! Only one thing to say about shoes: Red. Always Red. Thanks for the giveaway! :-)
Cotton Works is fabulous...what can I say? I can envision a plethora of projects with them; as for shoes....could I just have a copy of the red Mary Jane's I had as a girl!!! Mary Jane's and fabric that looks/feels like wool....ah, a perfect world indeed!
First, love your wonderful mini ~ star quilts are one of my fav designs ~ but it's the border color that appeals to me ~ frames so nicely!! I also love your new Cotton Works fabric bundle! The wool that is really cotton intrigues me! Just any of those would look wonderful with any of the fabrics of your previous fabric collections that I own!! Thanks for the opportunity to perhaps win a bundle ~ fingers crossed here!
Cotton Works looks great, hope to win the fabric bundle! I love shoes and hope you have found stylish and comfortable new shoes!! Nothing worse that your feet hurting.
The new fabric looks very cuddly. Perfect to curl up in after a day of shoe shopping!
These are so pretty. I need them to construct a barn and animals from the pattern Old McDonalds farm from Under the Garden Moon.
I think these fabrics would be perfect for this design.
I'm thankful for this giveaway.

Love your mini quilt and Cotton Works fabric! I can't wait to find it at my LQS and pet it. Thanks for the chance to win a bundle of it!
these are beautiful fabrics. I assume we cannot use them just like we use wool with no need to turn under at the edges? I like the effect they give, regardless. so..Pick me. My fingers are crossed.
Oh wow! doesn't look like cotton! Need some of this Cotton Works fabric an applique project I want make! Pick me please!
Those reds, oranges, yellows and creams would made a smashing fall quilt!
oh....and friday is my birthday....just saying. SMile.
Love the new collection! I also wear orthodics and I have to buy shoes that they will fit into. No open heel sandals for me. Since I've been back at work, after being a stay at home mom for 10 yrs, I've purchased 10 pairs of shoes from 6pm, lol.
You go, girl!! You have a lot of excitement going on.
Personally, I can't wait to get my hands on that fabric!
I hope your feet are small enough to buy cute shoes to go with the orthotics.
I am plugging away on Block 3 of the latest BOM. The blocks are just enough to work on each night after work.
I love the idea of fall / winter fabric. I could work on a quilt for someone I love in a cold climate!
Cotton Works looks and sounds like wonderful stuff.
I recently graduated to orthotics as well, plus a cortisone injection for good measure! Makes me sound old but my foot feels better! Love the Cotton Works!
Love the pillow and would love to make it with cotton works
I would love to win that bundle and have a good applique project in mind.
Loving the cottonworks. I am fairly new to wool applique and would love to give some of this new fabric a go!!! Congrats to you on another winner !!!
I would love to try out these fabrics for hooking and quilting. I already have a pattern for each medium in mind. Thanks for the chance to even dream about winning.

Oh, I have a project those cotton 'wool look' fabrics would work perfectly in! Lovin' Portage Lake BOM. Thank you! You have such great projects!
One of the things I love best about mini quilts is that I get a finished product in a short time and I can use them as a wall hanging or a table topper - versatile.
Linda Kay
Having to buy all new shoes can only be looked at as a good thing! Especially with the Nordstrom sale! What fun that will be :D. Loving your new Cloth Works. The colors look scrumptious.
Colleen Coffman
I love wool and wovens. This fabric line makes my heart sing! I can't wait to get my hands on one of these fat quarter stacks!
Love Cottonworks! So many beautiful colors. Can't wait to play with it!
I have gotten rid of my 3 inch heels. I love shoes but heels have got to go. The pain just isn't pretty.
Shoes and fabric - add purses to the mix you have the trifecta of all joy!
Love the Cottonwork line of fabric. So excited to find it in the local quilt shop.
Suzanne skm926@aol.com
Yummy fabric, I can think of lots of projects for these beauties.
Cottonworks looks perfect for a warm winter quilt.
Love it all! The cotton works look wonderful - especially as I am hesitant to use wool! Plus a day of shoe shopping is a good day! Looking forward to using the cotton works. Your quilts are all so inspiring. Thanks so much!
Sandy
Beautiful fabric. How awful to have to buy new shoes. Lol
Gorgeous bundle! I would be devastated to get rid of my shoes--I even have a couple of pairs that are decades old. So sorry!
What could be better than fabric and new shoes? I know I can never have enough of either. Its fall, Mama wants some new boots and yummy fabs.
Cotton works look so squeezably soft. Mr Whipple comes to mind..."Please don't squeeze the Cotton works"
Love the fabric! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
I am intrigued by your new fabric line. It looks so soft, I can't wait to check some out at the local quilt shop. Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.
A lovely give-away...those gorgeous fabrics remind me of our trip to Scotland.
Wow! I am loving those new fabrics...cotton that looks like wool. Yum!
I do hope I win!
Good luck with the shoe shopping, I find it frustrating to find shoes I like my orthotics fit in.Love, love, your cotton " wool" fabric.
Have you been to ArtPrize in Grand Rapids this year? It's always fun, but this year there isn't an entry from Ann Loveless for us quilters to drool over. Maybe next year. But as always, there is some amazing art!
Beautiful fabrics!
I Love shoe shopping!
Love the cotton works fabric and the book looks wonderful too!
Ugh! Not talking about orthotics!
That fabric is to die for. I love each piece. Sorry, I can't talk about shoes. I only buy them because I have to. I think I'm probably the only woman in the world who feels that way. LOL
What a lovely new collection - oh... the fabric and I bet the new shoes are too!
Your new fabric is scrumptious! And I hate shoe shopping.
This bundle would make a beautiful project.
This bundle would make a beautiful project.
I do not enjoy shoe shopping! Obsessed with minis right now. Thanks for the chance to win the pretty fabric
I love Cotton Works fabrics, adore mini quilts and hate shoe shopping. I am tall with large feet and it's just not fun! In my next life, I will be petite with Cinderella feet!
The Cotton Works fabric is beautiful. Love the small star quilt.
A snappy pair of shoes can make an outfit pop! Enjoy the adventure of the hunt...
Love the Cotton Works fabric. That bundle would make a lovely fall table topper. And the star mini is so cute. Thanks for the give-away and the inspiration.
The Cotton Works fabrics are so wonderfully gorgeous. They look like they feel warm, soft, and comfy. Thank you so much for offering them as a giveaway. I hope your shoe shopping experience goes well. It's one of my least favorite items to shop for, mostly because I rarely find shoes to fit. Hope you do!

Love those beautiful colors!
Lovely fabric! I'm anxious to see this in person.
Love minis, love wool applique, love shoes! Win-win!
Love minis, love wool applique, love shoes! Win-win!
The cotton works colors and patterns are so pretty. I've got quite a few ideas. Love, love, love them!
It is beyond perfect!
I would love to win the bundle of your new line. I think it will be perfect for the background of wool applique pieces and can't wait to give it a try.
So excited to get my hands on some of the Cotton Works - hoping my LQS will stock it but if not, the internet's a wonderful thing! Sorry to hear about the shoes ... even your Doc Martens? Can't wait to see the mini-book, too!
Thanks for the opportunity!
Love the colors in the fabric, I can see all kinds of winter patterns using it.i can see your dilemma with the shoes, having to give up some beautiful shoes but new shoe shopping!
I love making mini quilt, they are so satisfying. Beautiful colors in the Cotton Works line.
This fabric is on my wish list, it is beautiful and I would love to win!!
What wonderful fabric! I can almost feel the texture. What fun it would be to win and put in a mini quilt! I love mini quilts- they are fast and fun and I have no trouble fitting them on my machine:) Plus I can combine two of my loves - quilting and antiques! I just love to make mini quilts to put on old things that can be easily displayed on my shrinking wall space :) Happy shoe shopping! I too have foot issues and am always looking for my new comfy cute shoes! Just because shoes are supportive doesn't mean they can't be cut too!!
WOW! They look just like wool
Absolutely wonderful. I'd love to win. New shoes, well I'd rather have fabric.
Love your star mini, and the gorgeous new fabric. I'd have stolen Carrie's pillow too. Shoe shopping is generally disappointing to me, it seems to have been ugly shoe season for too many years. Good luck with your search. Thanks for the chance to win!
The fabrics are really beautiful and I have been seeing patterns for making shoes at some quilt stores; custom fit shoes from your fabrics that fit orthotics!
Love, love and love!
Just love the mini quilt. And the coton fabric looks very interesting. Greetings

I stopped short at your Cotton Works post on Instagram. The fabrics reminded me so much of my contractor dad I could almost sense his presence in the room. It would be great to design a quilt and stitch it up in his memory. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win this amazing bundle and the sweet trip down memory lane. I do love Moda! Bellisego at Gmail dot com.
I miss having a Nordies down here. Lucky you! The plaids are wonderful! I'm anxious to see them in person.
Oh, I love your new Cottonworks! The first thing on my list to make with it is a skirt. Can't you just see it with a denim or chambers shirt? Quilty things will have to come next. The shoe situation, that's a tough one. I do love shoe shopping though, almost as much as fabric shopping. New shoes = happy feet.
The Cotton Works bundle looks wonderfully cozy! I am anxious to see these in person.
Your new fabric looks very snuggly! I will need to find some to pet.
OHHH La La on the fabric. Looks heavenly. And just the right season for some snuggly cottons. Thank you Laurie for a chance to win some of your lovelies LOVE your little mini! Janita
I love all the colors in these fabrics and have been wanting to begin a a wool (or wool-like) project but haven't had the materials to do so. These would give me an AMPLE jump-start. Thanks for the opportunity to win! Love your blog!!!
What a lovely line of cotton fabrics. I always hesitate using wools here in Texas because of the heat, silver fish, etc. I think these would work wonderful for some of the projects I want to do. Would love to win a collection. Love the miniature star wall hanging. I really do like how all your fabric lines just work so well together. Thank you for a chance to win.
mudd4chewee@gmail.com
I love it all. I'm especially fond of your red, white and blue fabrics. They're my favorite to make quilts with.
I need orthotics too. Except that I'm finding a certain brand of shoe to be more comfy than my orthotics. Plus I wonder if my orthoitics fit right. Good luck. You're doing better than me if you can wear normal shoes with your orthotics. My shoe loving soul has been defeated by my need. :(
Cotton Works looks phenomenal. I'll be watching for that line, for sure. Tell me about shoes. I pretty much live in my Birkenstocks and on my way for a new pair today. The arch support and toe base is kind of necessary. Quilt on!
Sorry about your orthotics... but so fun to find new shoes. What gal doesn't love shoes. The Cotton Works collection is amazing and I sure hope to have a chance to
win. Love, love the tactile feel of wool so working with these would be heaven.
I can relate regarding the orthotics, they just entered my life too. Love those flannels!
Oh my those are GORGEOUS!!! I've seen that book advertised elsewhere and it looks like a great book! Love the table topper and pillow--I understand why that certain someone claimed it.
I just love this getting older stuff! I wear a 1/2 size bigger in shoes now too. Love the new flannels. They beg to be stroked. Thanks for the giveaway!
I sympathize with you about having to have orthotics. I've had orthotics to help plantar fasciatis for years and it really limited my choice of shoes, which was already limited by my wide feet. I had foot surgery in January and now need orthotics for the front of my foot. Because of that I'm still wearing the men's athletic shoes that I bought after surgery because I haven't found women's shoes that fit. Sigh.
I love the pillow Carrie made with the wool cotton. Gives me some ideas for a quilt.
WOW what a wonderful beautiful giveaway - love working with wools well any fabric!lol Thank you for always making beautiful fabrics Debbie
Can't wait to try out the new cotton works line it looks so cozy. Love shoe shopping it is the one thing I can buy that always fits. Lol. Have fun shopping, hope you can still wear your gold show shoes they are so cute.
Cotton Works is lovely. I have a problem with something that eats wool in my house, so I've avoided all the wool applique temptation. This line would enable me to try some of those great designs! Thank you!
Wow! I love Cotton Works. I immediately thought of using them for sweatshirt embellishments now that it's fall. And what great texture they'll add to wall quilts!
I'm getting into minis now. They're not always less work than big quilts, but when your beds and linen closets are full you go to the walls!
Can't wait to see the mini's book. And oh my, would love to add that fabric to my wool stash.
Beautiful and warm are the words that come to my mind when admiring Cotton Works. Thank you for the chance to win this great give away.
How wonderful!! Thanks you for the chance to win this lovely fabric. There's nothing in the world i love more...except grandchildren, children, sunny days and time to sew.
These fabrics look wonderful! Thank you for the chance to win them! And I quite enjoy your patterns using them!
Cotton Works. Perfect for my husband who loves wool but can't have it next to is skin. I see the perfect throw for his man cave.
Wow! That fabric looks wonderful - hoping to see it soon in a shop so I can fondle it!! Thanks for the chance! mumbird3(at)gmail(dot)com
Beautiful fabrics ... would love to give them a good (new) home! On the subject of shoes and feet ... I feel your pain (literally). When in the working world I always had shoes stashed someplace ... desks, closets, under furniture ... all were the "height" of fashion, too. That is probably why I also need orthotics now! I usually find a style that fits and feels good and then get them in several colors ... shoe shopping is not one of my favorite activities anymore (sadly). Thanks for the chance to win these fabrics ... I can see MANY uses for them (table runners, pillows, embellishments on quilts and sweatshirts ... the mind just reels)! Linda Canends@Hotmail.com
Too bad about the shoes! The shopping will be fun though. That bundle is gorgeous. Thanks so much for the chance to win!
I love the look of these Cotton Works fabrics - I'd love to use them in a quilt.
I can't WAIT for this fabric to arrive where I can purchase it! I do all sorts of quilting, wool work plus rug hooking and am excited to see what effect I will get with this fabric! Thank you so much for having this give away. How exciting! (:
Cotton that looks like wool sounds like a grand thing! The moths will not be interested! Beautiful colors by the way! Love your Stars and Stars little quilt, I think I will need to make that one. Enjoy your shoe shopping and pick me!
They look like wool without the process of felting . Wool always looks warm and rich .These would give me the look with out the expense of wool. Let me win this bundle, I too could make maybe a few pillows like you have done or that table runner. Many ideas to chose from so please let me win so I can make all. Our weather is starting to get very cool .Sure would be nice to have some flannel . Nancy
Shoes and fabric shopping! My favorites!
Currently on a no-buy because we will be moving soon, but I love that fabric! (and that book will be on my Christmas wish list!) Thanks for the giveaway!
Oh my! The Cotton Works collection looks wonderful! Thanks for the opportunity.
The new cotton works fabric is beautiful! I will be looking for it in my local shop. I love your mini quilt.
Joanne

Yum yum this line is fun. Cant wait to get some have a few projects in mind.
Cotton Works = gorgeous!!! I'm just getting into wool projects and would love to make something out of this bundle : )
Love wool, but your cotton that looks like wool looks wonderful. Gorgeous colors! If you like the style, Birkenstocks are great for hurting feet!
Once again you have knocked it out of the ballpark!! I think I have purchased some of every single line of fabric you have designed. Looks like my plan to work on older waiting projects just got pushed to the back of the line.....oh well! Beautiful!!!
Shoes...they are a girls best friend. oh, and beautiful fabric too!
Michele P in KC
Love the looks of the cotton works Any quilts with stars is a good quilt AND that pillow looks comfy cozy

love the new fabric! Have fun shoe shopping!
I read about Cotton Works on Carrie Nelson's Moda blog post, and I can't wait to get my hand on some. It is so beautiful and I know its going to be a joy to work with. You all are just so clever!
Haven't been quite this excited about fabric for a while. The characteristic of Cottonworks -- cotton with the feel of wool -- is wonderful.
Linda
Love those new cotton / luscious like wool fabrics. Yummy!
