Polly and I are working on tandem projects to be in Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine. I believe our projects will be in the fall issue. It's a sister act. Polly and I; Kathy Schmitz and Bonnie Sullivan; Judy, Jenifer, and Gretchen of Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine, and some other infamous sisters. It should be fun.
Polly tells me all the American Summer pre-orders have been shipped. I am caught up on all my to-do list items, except for house cleaning and I'm not losing any sleep over it.
For all you folks around the Niagara Falls area - I am going to be at Halton Quilters Guild in Burlington Ontario on March 1st. The SUV will be loaded to the brim with quilts for a trunk show. I hope the border guards have a sense of humor. How many people claim to enter Canada for one day and have 8 suitcases with them?
Have a great weekend!

Funny! You captured it perfectly!!!
LOL Enjoy your alone time! :-)
Cute photo - I am looking forward to the new mag with you and Polly featured. I am also looking forward to being in Polly's class in Sebring next month. Enjoy your weekend - just play play play NO cleaning - Melody
I LOVE weekends like that - so enjoy yourself and forget about cleaning the house.
I'll look forward to the 'sister' issue of Primitive Quilts magazine - sounds like it'll be a good one!
Love your home alone photo! If I could get my hubby to leave for the weekend, I'm sure I would have the same expression.

I have never known the Canadian border guards to have a sense of humor...make a list of the quilts you are bringing and make sure they understand they are for exhibit only (you are not bringing them it to sell!) Good luck!
Enjoy your week end. Can't wait for the sister issue of the magazine.
Home Alone----all grown up. Love the expression, enjoy your week-end. I haven't seen the remote in years!
I love it when my hubby goes away for the weekend - I can't believe how much sewing I get done! I don't have to cook (thank goodness for the microwave) and I don't feel guilty about not cleaning house. That being said, after a few days I'm ready for human company again! Enjoy your time alone with Gibby.
You totally crack me up.
That picture is priceless. You could re use the same picture a week before Market!
I wrote a post yesterday but it disappeared!
We travel to the US regularly (once every 6 weeks) and have never had trouble with Border Guards on either side of the border.
Smile and a smile will be returned. Since US citizens are allowed to carry guns and we are not, maybe the Border Guards are harder on you.
Having said that if I was going to bring quilts into Canada i would be finding out now what I have to do and not arrive at the border and be turned back. I know that you cannot accept money for your talk unless you have a work visa.
The Guild inviting you should be doing some of this investigation for you.
Enjoy your blog and look at it everyday.
When I finally get to use the remote I can't remember how to use it or which one of the three to use. Looking foreard to the magazine. Have fun at the boarder crossing, hope it goes smoothly both ways.
I subscribe to the magazine so cannot wait to see what you two sisters give us in that great magazine.

I can just hear you yelling
"NOooooooooooooooooo!"
A weekend all to yourself--what bliss! Hope it was a good one!
Can't wait for you to share what you created AND the fun you and Gibby had! Jeanne
P.S. I've always wanted to go to Canada so call me if you need someone to bail you out!
The image of you "home alone" is awesome! I have a feeling you could get into all kinds of trouble if you wanted!
I thought I left a comment. Maybe it's the new Blogger.
Where did you get the stapler? I've never seen one that long.
