Not Having a White Christmas

Are you familiar with the seldom sung first stanza to White Christmas?

The sun is shining.
The grass is green.
The orange and palm trees sway.
There's never been such a day
In Beverly Hills, L.A.
But it's December the twenty-fourth,
And I'm longing to be up north......

If you substitute Beverly Hills, L.A. with Naples Florida, you sort of know what Polly's Christmases are like. Here are the latest pics from south Florida.

Take it away, Bing, Rosemary, Vera, and Danny!

That is so neat, love the sculpture, a bit of christmas fantasy and white beach sand, so almost like snow, lol.

Here we know our Christmas will be green and bright,
The sun will shine by day and all the stars at night.

Another Bing Christmas favorite, and the description of my Christmas.
Mele Kalikimaka from Hawaii!

LOL - I love the first stanza - it's such a 30's/40's/50's kind of thing. But just about nobody knows about it anymore. Nice to know I'm not the only one who enjoys it!

I've always loved that song, and that movie! And don't you just love Rosemary Clooney's velvet!

Love those sand sculptures....was there a competition or festival?

Interesting that no matter where you are, celebrations happen. Kind of like quilting and incorporating what you have to work with. Love the snow sculptures.

Thanks for reminding me of how beautiful an Old Fashioned White Christmas can be and how Ageless White Sandcastles can also show the spirit of Christmas!

Have a Merry one, Girlfriends!

Love, Jeanne (RED)
