American Banner Rose is named after one of the first American hybrid roses from the 1800's. We love the big, old fashioned rose stripe. We hope you like it too.Also arriving this week was the new American Patchwork & Quilting magazine - the June 2011 issue. Our Flying Free quilt was in it.

Red and white is one of my favorite combinations. When I decorated my guest room, I made a red and white quilt for the bed and some redwork quilts for the walls. I love that room!

Seeing all the blogged wonderful photos from the Infinite Variety show is very inspiring, and I can't imagine there are too many quilters who aren't planning a new red & white quilt. I dug out an old red & white UFO that I'm going to work on, once I finish binding the quilt I'm doing now! Love the new American Banner Rose designs - can't wait to get my hands on some of those reds!
I feel very fortunate to have been able to attend the red and white quilt exhibit. I do have plans to make one this year.
I only live an hour away from NYC, but life was too busy this past week for me to get down to see the quilt show. I was so disappointed. It looks like it was such an amazing show! Thank you for the giveaway!

Love red and white quilts. Just sorry I can't get to New York for the exhibit. However, blogs have been great in sharing photos. I made a red and white quilt several years ago. It's called "Peppermint Sticks" and is a Chinese coin quilt. I used 36 different red fabrics.
I have enjoyed seeing the quilts from the red and white show, so many beautiful quilts and patterns. Love the americana hats, such a fun pattern.

For a long time now I've been wanting to make Marsha McClosky's Feather Star Sampler. Seeing the red/white quilt show...on my iPad...it has inspired me to start working on it.

I have been looking at photos and a couple of videos of the Infinite Variety show and the variety combined with the beauty of the display just took my breath away. I can't imagine seeing it in person and trying to take it all in.

I am currently planning a red and white quilt for my favorite niece for her birthday in May. Planning because I am not sure what pattern I want to use. Also found come very cute red, white and blue firecracker fabric at the resale shop that I am anxious to use.
The Infinite Variety show was breathtaking, and I am thrilled that I was able to get down there to see it in person! I have a red and white schoolhouse quilt in my near future!

Have been living "vicariously" through everyone's blogs who attended that fabulous quilt exhibit. Have always loved red and & white and own some antique quilts. Seeing all the images being posted has pushed me to complete my redwork quilt set in an Irish Chain pattern.

I so wanted to go the Infinite Variety Exhibit. I hope the possibility exists that it may travel in the future! I have always wanted to make a red and white quilt and so I let inspiration rule and now have a plan and even ordered the fabric. I'm still amazed that Joanna bought many of those quilts for $5-$10! Your new fabric is awesome! I can't wait until it is available.

I had the opportunity to surf alot of bloggers that posted pictures thanks to them cause I was not able to make the red and white show. They are just stunning I hope that they give incentive also to others to take time to hand quilt again.
I am also working on a red and white now that you ask. It was a school house blocks swap from one of the groups I belong to. I am adding a log cabin of reds and whites to set the foundation. My blocks are from all over the USA and Australia, wonderful cyberfriends that I hope to meet one day

After all the blogs and news articles I read and looked at about the Red and White exhibit, I was surprised to be invited to join in a Red and White virtual bee! I'll have my own red and white quilt within the next year!
I have been so jealous of everyone who was able to see the quilts in person, but it has been wonderful seeing the photos that so many have been posting. I think my favorite is the Vortex quilt just because I can't imagine the logistics of piecing it, and also I love the one that looks like giant rickrack!

I'm seriously considering making a red and white quilt. I have several red and white samplers on my walls and the quilt would compliment my collection.
I love red and white quilts!! I recently tracked down some Flag Day Farm yardage (Polly's Quilt, in red) and I'll be hand quilting it forever!! I finished a small version for my dog Sugar so that we'd have a matching set :) Congratulations on American Banner Rose - it's just beautiful!! I experienced the Infinite Variety show on blogs through the eyes of those who did attend...and I was unprepared for the impact of seeing it this way ~ amazing to read about what each who attended took away from the exhibit. What an experience! A red and white quilt is in my future for sure.

Based on the recent NY show I will be making a red and white 2 color quilt. I have not chosen to do it in solids or red and white prints however. Your new American Banner Rose caught my attention right away because I really like red aqua.

The Infinite Variety quilt show made it hard to pick a favorite. Due to its location i hope a lot of non quilters went and are inspired. They might be inspired. I enjoy hand quilting so it was interesting to see all the work.
I enjoy hand quilting and once I finish the quilt top on the frame I will be creating.
Love the new banner rose, I'm making a red & white school house block in memory of my mom, she loved that block design, & although as a young girl was not allowed to wear red, she did love the color, so I thought a quilt would be perfect.

I thought the hand quilting was amazing, and every time we said some like " I don't see many basket quilts" we would start to see them. I couldn't possibly pick a favorite, but I see a few in my sewing future. It was an incredible display of workmanship, simply fantastic.

I didn't get to see the exhibit in person but I did look through pictures. I've always wanted to do a red and white quilt, but just haven't done it yet. I have however, made several red, white and blue quilts.
I love the clean crisp look for Red and white quilts. So versatile. Add navy accents for summer, and Patriotism. Add Green for Christmas! Oh, to be able to see these hundreds of quilts, all in one place! I would be there for DAYs, looking!

I just happen to be making a red and white pinwheel right now. I had wanted to do one for years after seeing a red and white quilt tied around furniture in a pick up years ago. How I have regreted not stopping that pickup to see if I could buy that quilt. I love all of the pictures I have seen of the quilt show. I am sure it was breathtaking. I wasn't able to attend the show and I think I am going to regret it for the rest of my life, but just from the pictures, I am inspired (like many I am sure) to make a red and white quilt in the very near future.
I have some of the pictures from the show saved in my pictures and have picked my favorite as my wallpaper on my work computer. I have had a lot of peoples ask about it and I tell them I would have loved to see it in person but having it as wallpaper is the best I can do. Your new line is beautiful just like all your fabrics. My very first quilt was a red and white pinwheel quilt. I've also been contemplating some redwork embroidery for the past little while.
The Infinite Variety quilt display has been so inspiring looking at all the quilts, I especially liked the quilts draped over chairs in a circle depicting a sewing circle.
Your new American Banner Rose range is lovely. I will have to buy some of the flower motifs in red/black/gold/blue to use in a quilt for Broderie perse applique , it's hard finding fabric to use for this method.

the exhibit was the most amazing thing I ever saw. I was so overwhelmed with emotion as soon as I walked into the armory, I wasn't even thru the doors and I was in AWE! I love the red and white quilts. I have a top done in red and white, and one that is partially quilted that is red and white. Then I saw the pictures... so tempting to start another one. Mine aren't nearly as nice as the ones in this show, though.

How I would have loved to see the exhibit in person and am so grateful to those who did go and took pics to share! I've had a red and white Lonesome Star in my mind for many years. I have not made a red and white quilt but one is definitely in my future. My cousin has an antique Drunkard's Path quilt that I have always admired so maybe I'll attempt one of those.

How I wish I could have gone to see the show. Looking at all the photos in blogland has helped, but seeing it in person would have been wonderful. Someday I would love to make a red and white quilt because they truly are beautiful. Thank you for a chance to win some of your beautiful fabric but just seeing what is coming is great too!

This is a fabulous giveaway! The show was wonderful and exceeds the words I have in my vocabulary. I feel quite blessed I was able to attend. I also love red, white and blue. The combinations you and Polly come up with are always lovely and classic.
My husband and I went to NYC to visit my daughter and attend the show. There was an audible gasp from the people in line when they opened the doors. I felt really lucky to have been able to see the quilts in that setting. It really was a breathtaking sight.
I havent made a decision on what my red and white quilt will be.....but I envision something that will be a mix of piecing and applique.

Hi Laurie---I got to go to NYC to see the Infinite Variety show!! The quilts were gorgeous and didn't you just love the way they were displayed? I think my favorite quilt was the red and white double wedding ring that way displayed on one of the chairs in the center--the simplicity was stunning.
The Infinite Variety quilt show was amazing, I only wish that I could have seen it in person.I'm inspired to do a red and white quilt. I would love to win some American Banner Rose.

Since I couldn't go to NYC to see the red and white quilts, but could only drool over them on the internet, I made my own red and white quilt and have hung it to the left of the fireplace.

I really wish I could have gone to NYC to see the Infinite Variety quilt show. From the blogs and the behind the scenes tour on the Martha Stewart show, it looks to be an indescribably beautiful exhibition. Hope a catalog will be printed of the show. I made a red & white quilt for my cousin as a wedding gift. I guess I need to make me one too.
The show in New York looks like it is beyond words. It's amazing the number of quilts that can be made with just two colors. I have a red and white quilt that has redwork for the center panels.

I have always loved red and white. I had a favorite shirt as a child that had red and white stripes with a white collar. I loved that shirt and wore it till it was worn out. Red and white has always been my favorite. I'm in the process of making a redwork snowman quilt, while it's been in the making for a while. I love the new line of fabric and I can't wait to see it. I have always loved the red and white theme and now I can't make up my mind what pattern I want to use on my red and white. WOW, the Infinite Variety show was wonderful...not only the beautiful blocks, but the QUILTING was amazing! That really is my downfall. However, I think I want to make a red & white quilt now that I've seen them; it would look really good on my red leather couch! Infinite Variety has been an eye opener. The historic presetation from a graphics view point is only the beginning. Such a nice couple to make this gift to NY and quilters. I down loaded app for my phone and have a new yard of red and one of cream.... so something will be created to commemerate this red and white event.
New York was wonderful, and the Infinite Varienty was the cherry on top. What fun to be in a vibrant,exciting city, and see red and white ( my fav ) quilts.
I made a red and white embroidery quilt and throughly enjoyed it! I definitely see more of them in my future... I would love to see the show in NY but travel is not possible right now so I get to see it through some amazing photography! Thanks so much for posting about it!!

The Infinite Variety show must have been impressive. I saw more pictures from the show on another blog. I can't imagine seeing that many quilts in one room at one time. Made me want to do a red and white quilt. Your new line of fabrics is beautiful. If I win the giveaway, it just may be the start to my red and white quilt.
My wife is a quilter and when she saw the pictures of this quilt show in New York she was amazed and inspired by all that red and white. I'm sure I'll be seeing red and white scraps of fabric around here soon. She had me look at your blog to see how they'd arranged everything for the show...I'm leaving my comment here just to let you know that I am a 'quilt widower'! (she once said she was a 'golf widow')I'd love to be able to tell her that 'I' won the fat quarters!

I absolutely loved seeing the quilts in the Infinite Variety show. The way they were displayed was so inspiring and creative. It showcased every quilt. I have pulled a bunch of red fabrics from my stash to make a red and white quilt because I loved the schoolhouse block quilt from the show but I'm needing a few more reds. I love, love your new American Banner Rose and am sure that some of those reds will work in the red and white quilt I'm planning. Thanks for designing another wonderful collection.

I LOVE this fabric...it reminds me of summer afternoons at Grandmas house. She was poor in means but "rich" in flowers. She would take a rose branch and place a brick on the end of it on the ground. She has roses everywhere! The fragrance always takes me back to summer and days with MY sister. THANK YOU so much...I love it.
The blog pics I see of the show I am thinking DO NOT do the quilts justice.....but there was one in particular I spotted and then my eye kept finding in every single photo of all of pics published, it is the one with the white polka dots with the red background. How much fun is making a polka dot quilt??? LOVE your new line...okay, I am a rose crazy kinda chick, just collect them for the yard because of how they look. No, I don't baby anything that goes in the yard, but roses seem to thrive with or without pampering...hope I win... hugs from Florida...Susan

I have a red & white quilt top "waiting" to be quilted. I rescued it from my Gramdma's where it had a super puffy poly batting, a crazy "mock" patchowrk fabric back & was tied with red yarn. Can't wait to hand quilt it & give it the life it deserves!

This show totally blew me away. First, these quilts are all in the collection of one person - that's amazing. Second, it was wonderful that Ms. Rose decided to share these treasures with the public. Finally, the way they were displayed was breathtaking. I suspect we will see a lot of red and white inspired quilts in the next year. I'm hoping the display will be an inspiration to some of the larger quilt shows.

Sadly late March did not find me in NYC, but I have been inspired by red and white none-the-less; I have a couple of ideas for small quilts, one in just solid red and white based on one of the quilts from the show and another in scrappy reds and lights, though I don't know quite what pattern I'll settle on. The pondering certainly is fun though!

I don't live close enough to the Infinite Variety show to see it "live" but have appreciated seeing the amazing pictures that have been posted on-line. I have a few fun oldish red and wite quilts in my small collection. My favorite is a sweet and simple crib quilt. Your new fabric looks WONDERFUL!!
I wish I would have been able to see the show in person but since I couldn't, I have been checking blogs about it. I hope-hope-hope that they will make a book with all the quilts in the show so that we people who could not go to the show will also be able to enjoy their beauty. What a gift to the people!

My uncle actually saw the photo in the New York Times and sent it along to me via my mother. It has been hanging in my office for 10 days now, and all I can think about is making a red and white quilt of my own. But you know, then I start thinking about other color + white combinations, and my brain has just been churning with possibilities!

I love red, white and blue! I am working on a disappearing 9 patch in patriotic prints. Hoping to finish it up and get it to my longarm friend so I can have it before the 4th of July. And the American Banner Rose fabrics are beautiful. I am new to quilting and sometimes all the fabric and pattern choices are a bit overwhelming but I'm learning so much and loving it!
