I have a big quilting project spread out all over my dining room table. There are fabric pieces, sewing tools, a sewing machine and this spool holder and a large spool of thread.

I went out this morning to run some errands and this was how I found Roscoe the cat when I got back - hiding under a dining room chair. Why???

Well, for one thing, the spool was a bit larger when I left, and when I came home I tripped over a grey line of thread across the hallway. Hmmmm. I tugged at the grey line of thread and started to reel it in. The thread went from the dining room table, two times around the table, down the hall, into the guest room, under the bed, around the desk, back out into the hall, into my sewing room, around the ironing board 3 times, down the hall again, into the kitchen, down the basement steps, and finally finishing up by the kitty litter box. Someone had a very exciting morning.

What a little devil, a cute one though. I bet you had to laugh!
Oh my! lol! Well, if it had been my kitten, she would have eaten the thread and gotten her little intestines all messed up. So I think your cat's fun was better. :D
She didn't do it. You can't prove it. LOL
That is too cute. I'm sure you had a smile on your face....
I'm sorry - I laughed. How in heavens name did he manage to get it all of those places - and without breaking the thread.? What a talented kitty!
Gibby set him up :)
ROFLOL! Ssshhh.... don't make me laugh at work! :)
Thanks for the laugh! Love the look on Roscoe's face; "I wonder if she suspects I had anything to do with it??"
LOL, oh my goodness! that is one smart cat!
your little kitty sure had fun while you were away. Reminds me of when my son was little and discovered fishing line and knot tying. He would string that stuff all over the house.
Perhaps with that much talent the little guy could be pretty handy with a needle, a thimble...what do you think?! Surely you could use an extra paw or two. ~~Lisa
My little dope, the Fangster, has done that as well. They're such punks! LOL
She does NOT look guilty!! LOLROF!!!
Oh my that is too funny! Someone sure had a really good time today.
Someone got their exercise while you were out!!! Great kitty story :)
That's so funny, lucky the cat didn't tie itself up.
well ... lots of people wonder what their cats do all day... at least Roscoe left you a definite trail! Sounds like he had a great time :)
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are blaming the cat on circumstantial evidence! Shame on you;)
Wanting everyone to know that the floods in Australia are so much more vast than katrina ever was! ( I grew up in Louisiana)
Are you donating in any way?!?!,,,, there are many ways.... Thank you
Wish a web cam was setup so you could see her with the thread on YouTube.Nothing like spying your kitty

Is this your cat's play date friend?
well I was waiting for the "Giblet punchline" where was that rascal while Roscoe was having such fun??!! M
Crackin' me up over here...but imagine a lab doing that with toilet paper! hahahaha!
That must have been a lot of fun!! LOL!
I would love to have a "cat cam" to see what our 2 little darlings do sometimes! Funny story!
All I can do is laugh at your post. He looks so incredibly guilty and I am sure he's quite shocked, too.
Oh i have two like that. The female is a little thief always running off with things on my worktable.
Too funny. We had a cat when I was in college that did something similar with a skein of yarn. We could hardly get the door open to the apartment and ended up using scissors to free the yarn. That cat was quite pleased with herself and very upset when we were destroying her creation!
