I'm Melting

Good News/Bad News........ The good news is that I have a good start on my quilt. The bad news is that quite a lot of blood, sweat, and tears have gone into it. Actually, no blood or tears. Just sweat. Too much information??? Okay, you didn't come here to read about that. Here is the really interesting info - the winner of the Ship Ahoy kit. The Wicked Witch, may she rest in peace, did a little conjuring and came up with julia as the winner. Julia, email me here and I will get the kit out to you pronto.

The Wizard himself picked two more winners and they will receive a Minick and Simpson pattern of their choice. BRUSH CREEK CREATIONS AND MARY ON LAKE PULASKI - you can email me here and your patterns will be winging their way to you faster than flying monkeys.

Stay Cool

I'm STILLLL quilting! but do have 3 a/c's going. Can you go to Alaska and get a tax deduction since it would be for work reasons?!?!? Just a thought! :) My husband remembers when a group of lawyers went to Russia for their ICLE one year... I'd try the Alaska thing though! :)

Congratulations to the winners. Must go over to Sandra's site and see what her giveaway is! I have one going to celebrate the launch of my new fine linens and other great stuff site - come on over and visit FunkyBabyMine.blogspot.com
I aim to sooner or later win a Minick and Simpson giveaway - but meanwhile will enjoy the ideal quilting weather that summer in Nova Scotia offers.

What lucky winners!

By the way, I totally know how you're feeling about these quilt. I spent a summer working outdoors in Santa Fe and at the time I was getting near the top of a heavy wool knit-in-the-round fair isle sweater. Made with black wool. I'd be sitting out by the pool with a big woolly black sweater in my lap wondering why it was so miserable out. Good times, good times.
