The Dust is Settling

It's been a little while since the last post. There has been lots and lots of activity, just not very much excitement. Patterns were delivered from the printer, stuffed into bags and shipped out again to distributors and quilt shops. Hundreds of cardboard boxes were either put together and taped or taken down and recycled. All the of La Playa kits were shipped. (you are noticing that none of this exciting stuff was captured by a camera) It actually took two trips to the post office to ship the kits - 2 overflowing SUV trips to the post office.

What has it been like here the last few days? Lots of activity and everything looking just about the same when it is done. Like herding cats.

Hope you are having a productive day.

The video is too funny!

People use to say that managing a design department is like herding cats.

I'm here to tell you it's true, it's true!

Good luck with your shipments.

That's hilarious! As I sit here today with my back hurting from YEARS of upholstering and slipcovering furniture... I can remember well. Later when I was not in my workroom much, on the paper pushing/design/sales end... I missed being in the workroom. Yes, I know you have to feel like you need many more arms, legs these days. Great analogy! lol Love your sense of humor...

Got my pattern this afternoon. WooHoo! One tiny question: What's a "Spinning Star Design package"and where can I get one?

I used these two paper triangle products. I was very happy with both of these, but any foundation paper for half square triangles will work. Thanks for asking.

HILARIOUS! Laughing as I look down at my two pampered cats.

Cut to thought bubbles over my cats, "you're going to get out of your jammies today and be productive, right?"

Laurie, I put up an antique frame on my blog today. Curious about the nails, was wondering if you've ever seen one like this. I know about them, but have never seen one w/the nails. Could it be for using string to mark? thanks.
