Homestretch

Well, things are getting wrapped up here just in time for a little road trip to Minneapolis. The quilts came back from the quilter today. I am busy, sewing on the bindings.
Always one to multi-task - I am getting in a few innings of the baseball game too.

You know I said my heart hadn't mended yet and I wasn't committing myself to baseball this year. Well, you know how that goes.

Who won the game? Didn't catch it. Good work to do during the longest innings.

Tigers took the series! but who doesn't love Derek Jeter! Yum. A great way to spend the day while doing needlework! (I wasn't going to watch this year either, but I too quoted Al Pacino just the other day)!

I'm hanging in there with the Stanley Cup games, that's enough sports for me.

Yep, I say the same thing every year at the end of hockey season! Never lasts!

Awwww... come on! Half the fun of being a sports fan is the misery of it all! You knew you'd be back... reluctantly at first, but it's love. And you're a kind, generous and forgiving sort of girl... a shy smile, a little wink, a winning series over a despised rival and you're in for the long haul all over again. Besides, this time just has to be better! :)

See you next week ~ safe travels for you, LeighAnn and Polly.
