If you follow any other "quilty" type blogs you surely know that Quilt Market is soon upon us. All of us in the biz will be in Houston in 2 weeks either buying or selling what will be in quilt shops for the next year. For Polly and I, it means deciding on the booth decor that will highlight our new fabric collection with Moda and our new patterns. It also means getting everything ready and making stuff. One of the things I have made is this reproduction of an antique laundry hamper.

Really. Let's just say our booth theme might encompass vintage laundry, among other things. I showed Bill a picture of an old hamper and he made the frame and I made the bag. It's not brain surgery, but hey, we are pretty proud of ourselves. It has opened a can of worms, in that I would really like a laundry room re-do. I don't have a laundry room, but a laundry corner in the basement. Hmmmmmm..... Whatever changes occur - they will have to wait until after the happening in Houston.

Email me here and I will email you our directions. Thanks!

that's what I would call first class laundry with style!
I love the laundry hamper. The Prarie Paisley twill tape hooks are the perfect touch! Will you have a pattern for this laundry hamper?

Keep watching the blog. I will have Bill post the measurements and the directions for the frame. The bag directions are very easy. Thanks for asking.

Sure perks up a dreary job - I know I'll be checking back in. I loved it Laurie, Thanks!!

I love it!
Please post pictures of your booth after Market as I won't be able to attend this year...sniff sniff....

Oh how clever and beautiful! I'm ready for a laundry room re-do!!!
That is a great fabric & laundry hamper!
Will keep my eyes open for the directions that would be great to have in a babies room for dirty clothes... or any bedroom for that matter.
Too cute! I am lovin' your blog, by the way. :)
Have fun at Market!!!
That hamper is so very cute!!! What a cute way to dress up a "not always so tidy" area! Now I want to take on the challenge. I'll be watching for the measurements.
How stylish! What a great idea.
How creative for Bill to make the frame and I see a real pattern in the making, too elegant to put my dirty clothes in, I would just want to show it off. Nancy
Es adorable!
