BLOCKHEADS 3 - Week 24

This week's block by Stacy Iest Hsu can be found HERE.  The houses are particularly sweet in teeny sizes.

The block is 6" and my new bag is much bigger! Yes, I made a bag!  I don't do that kind of sewing - so I'm quite proud of myself. The kit came from the Cutting Cloth Quilt Shop in Australia.  Yep, I'm the kind of person who sees something I love and orders it from halfway around the world.  Because of the state of international shipping right now it took forever to get here. (no fault of Cutting Cloth).  It only took me 3 hours to make.  You can get the pattern right now at Sotak Co. on Etsy. This is the Juniper bag.  My bag making confidence is so high right now, I know I will be making more from this pattern maker.

I organized my fabric stash room this weekend.  In the process of that, some more canvas/bag weight fabrics were found.  Did you know I keep all my pre-cuts in a vintage refrigerator? This was before the cleaning/purge.

This was after. There are still lots of pre-cuts to feed my fabric addiction.

The Charm packs™ and the Candies™ live in the freezer compartment.

In our Etsy shop news..... we have some limited amounts of Mackinac Island yardage available.  It's going fast.

Such a cute bag. It nice that you found the kit and brought the pattern to life. If I were fabric, I would be so happy to finally be made into something wonderful & useful. Much better than sitting on a shelf - forgotten & overlooked. Laughed at your use of an old fridge to stash your precuts. A great way to recycle an antique appliance & gain needed fabric storage..
