Have you been stretched too thin, both economically and emotionally? Too many things to do and not enough time? Somebody knows how you feel.
What's that in front of Gibby, you say? Why it's my new spool of 28 weight Aurifil thread I got for hand quilting. I had just started using it last night. It looks a bit different now than when I unwrapped it yesterday. It must taste delicious, imported from Italy and all.........
Sigh.
I had just started to quilt the Hawaiian quilt. Good thing I ordered 2 spools.
Gibby says not to let the stress get to you. Take out your anxiety on some helpless, inanimate object. Preferably one that must be special ordered and takes a week to arrive.
Merry Christmas

Oh dear. Poor Gibby. It's happened to me too with my cats but I just can't be angry with them. It is beautiful thread! He's got good taste (pun intended). Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Oh no! Yes...it was a good thing you ordered TWO! ;) Hide the second one!
Good thing we love our pets unconditionally!!! Merry Christmas!
Hehe....know how you feel! My little kitten is making cleaning my sewing room impossible with all of her shenanigans!
LOL! I'm so sorry...but it's a tiny bit funny. :) Yes, dogs love weird objects that we cherish and/or need!
Merry Christmas!
I've been wondering how the Hawaiian quilt was coming along. Sorry about the pet-induced inconvenience.
He is indeed a beautiful boxer!
Same thing happens in my house too!
Gibby.....shame, shame. House slippers next time :)
Mmmm... Italian food!
Play bows,
Zim
PS: Way to score, Gibby!
Been there, done that with my 100lb. lab. Ironically, it was also Aurifil thread. Hhhhmmm.
Love your post. Made me smile amongst the stress of the holiday season....so thanks for that!
Mercy me oh my!!!! Well, I guess there was a reason you ordered two spools. I don't know about you but its hard to stay mad at the fur babes even when they're bad.
Have a better day.
Always, Queenie
LOL!!!
Luckily you had ordered 2 of them ! can't wait to see more of this quilt, I have wanted to make a Hawaiian applique quilt for a long time.

Bless his heart. He was just trying to help you, Mom! What is it about Aurifil? Dogs love it!
Merry Christmas, Gibby! Santa still has you on the nice list!
Please be careful with thread and animals. If ingested, it's undetected on an x-ray and could tie up an intestine. A friend of mine lost her cat from this, and I just wanted to pass the info on to everyone. Please be careful!
Oh dear, been there, my dog says I shouldn't leave it lying around if it's not for him to play with...... ;-)
Our beagle Roxie did when we got her total 1 full spool and 3 partial spools all 1005 cotton thread .She hasn't bother any in years ringsPM
On the bright side, at least Gibby didn't chew up the quilt!
When Maggie was a puppy and still in the "chew everything in site" stage, she ate a huge chunk out of the edge of one of my quilts! God bless their little chewy hearts!
Merry Christmas!
Oh No!!! Poor Gibby. Hope the frustration was relieved...
That Darn Gibby. He'll teach you to have 'houseguests'.
Gibby certainly has expensive taste. No cheap dog toys or bones for him. LOL!

I love your post, oh that unconditional love works both ways ! Happy Holidays to you and yours.
Uh oh. I am SURE it was an accident! Merry Christmas!
My boxer, when I was a kid, brought all the bedside table clocks downstairs, then unpotted all the houseplants and then pooped in the middle of it all. Acted very "Whoo? Me?" when we all got home too!
Gotta love them anyway!
