Deck The Halls

This was the weekend to decorate. Bill is at a hockey tournament and I haven't got the gumption to tackle all the boxes in the basement by myself. So, for now..... decorating is on hold. Since we will be leaving the day after Christmas to go to Dallas for the wedding.... decorating has not been a priority this year. Polly is getting ready to leave a week before Christmas so she is feeling the same way. How about a little "virtual" decorating with some pictures of Polly's home from past holidays. This post is more for me than anyone. I need to get "in the holiday spirit". Now.

Thanks, I needed that. Look for more holiday posts and a give-away later this week. Ho Ho Ho.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Polly's home, for that matter any home she has lived in. I first remember seeing Polly's Illinois home in a Country Home magazine a long time ago, she has the "touch". Thanks for sharing, Linda

Thanks for the pics, if anyone needs inspiration its folks like me who live in Fl. It was always easier to decorate and bake when we lived in WA. state & the snow was falling...love the blue and white pics, they are lovely.

Love the photos. Of course my house has nothing but rabbit and dog fur strewn about for festive holiday flair. The timothy hay gives it that manger feel.

Oh, man, I could just move in there and be totally happy! Absolutely no Christmas spirit here. I was going to at least decorate the mantle this year, but I guess that would mean moving all the pumpkins off from fall '09... seems more trouble than it's worth. Thanks for the gorgeous photos!

I really love the look of blue and white and still primitive. I think I will have to use my spare room to do up in colors that I don't use in the rest of the house.

Beautiful decorations!

Some years it is hard to get into the Holiday Spirit. How about a drive around your neighborhood to see outside decorations? Near us are three houses on the same street with wonderful decorations. We look forward to seeing them every year!

So very lovely, I would never think to use blue and white, the touch of greenery makes it so festive!
Trying to get in the mood here, Merry Christmas!

Love it - love the Christmas pictures - Polly you have quite the knack for decorating - we have most of ours done - still a bit more to go - but yours gives me a few ideas maybe not for this year, but, in the future. Karen

I love the virtual Christmas house. I still say you should have bought that white pool table in New York if they would have replaced the black felt with blue. It would have so fit in. :)
