An Homage to Better Bloggers

It's about time to fill you in on the minutia of our days.

I was in Jackson Michigan yesterday teaching a workshop and giving a show and tell for the Pieces and Patches Quilt Guild. A fine time was had by me, but in the immortal words of my friend Sandy "I am too lame to blog". Not one picture. None. I even had my camera out, but I just didn't think of taking pictures. Sad, I know.

When I got home, look what was waiting for me....
The new issue of American Patchwork & Quilting!! If you look about halfway down on the cover you will see our names. Thanks everyone at AP&Q. You made us look good.

Now that the 7 suitcases of quilts have been unpacked and put back on their "Princess and the Pea" bed, it was time for a cold one.
Just like my blogger friend Pam - I want to show you my newest favorite treat. Sprecher's lo-cal root beer. Not diet. Lo-cal!! It's awesome. It's rich, creamy and slightly sweet. It contains sugar and honey, just in small amounts. A 8 0z. serving (this is a 16 oz. bottle) is just 15 calories. It is my new favorite thing. If you can't find this gourmet soda in your local store you can order it online. You will be glad you did.

That's it for today.

Laurie

Oh I wonder if they would sent it Down Under, very big grin.... maybe not

I love Root Beer and grew up with it in Germany and it is not something people like down here. There is one on the market and it isn't the same.

Have to check the new magazine out, we get them here just a little later.

cheers
Christine

Looking forward to reading of your latest in the AP&Q mag! Should be receiving it soon! I'll check out that root beer too! Been trying to get away from artificial sweeteners... and high fructose corn syrup is in that category (in my book anyways) too! Thanks!

I was purusing my April issue at breakfast wondering when I was getting a new issue. Then I looked at it and thought, geez, it's not even April yet and this is Aprils issue and I"m wanting a new one. :-)

I will have to check that issue out.
I bet that would give a nice flavor to the root beer.
My best friend's grandfather made homemade root beer in a keg, loved it when we got to go over and test it.

How funny about that root beer! I had friends visit in October from Australia and I took them to the Sprecher's brewery! The adults had beer and the kids had soda. But guess what! Their kids hated root beer! They said it tasted like medicine in Australia! They liked the creme soda! That was a shock to me.

I'd love to be able to find some of that rootbeer here in Utah - I can't stand the taste of diet anything.

Congrats on the AP&Q feature! I haven't got mine yet, but perhaps I'll be in the same issue! I sent in a reader's tip a few months ago and it was selected for publication in a future issue - not sure which one yet!

Don't beat yourself up over forgetting to take pics! Good teachers are usually so involved that they simply forget such things.
